The National Children’s Science Centre (NCSC) is set to transform science learning for children in Ireland with a cutting-edge development at Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin.

This exciting new project will be more than a building – it will position Ireland as a world leader in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.

Our mission? To ignite young minds, fostering a world where creativity and science converge to shape a more vibrant and sustainable future.

World-Class Interactive Experience

We're crafting an unparalleled visitor attraction in partnership with Ireland’s Office of Public Works (OPW), who have committed to the redesign and restoration of the historic Earlsfort Terrace building and the construction of a spectacular planetarium, with a build out commencing 2025.  Our doors will formally welcome guests from the beginning of 2028.

Focus on Youth and Wonder

At the heart of NCSC lies a dedication to inspire school children. We're creating a space where 'wonder' meets STEAM, blending the exploration of science with the beauty of artistic expression.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The North Wing of Earlsfort Terrace will be transformed into an educational wonderland, featuring 14 interactive exhibit spaces and a 122-seat planetarium.

National Reach, Personal Touch

Our 15th exhibit includes our aim to reach every Irish schoolchild. Temporary exhibitions will be rotated, ranging from historical scientific artifacts to contemporary interactive science and technology displays, offering visitors new and exciting experiences with each visit. These exhibits will also travel throughout Ireland engaging children across the country.

Sustainability and Truth

In an era where we are bombarded by information, our focus is clear – championing sustainability in our environment and answering questions using science.

Aligning with Global Goals

Our exhibits aren't just fun; they're purposeful. Aligned with six of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, we're not just educating – we're making a difference.
